Our funeral home staff is comprised of many familiar faces throughout the communities we serve. Many family and friends find great comfort when greeted at the door by a friend, past co-worker or neighbor. That's just one of the many positive attributes that make up Jansen Family Funeral Home's commitment to service.

Daniel L. Jansen - Funeral Director/Owner/Manager

At the age of 14, Daniel began working for the funeral home in Lake Orion where he grew up. After high school he went on earn his degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University. In 2001, Daniel established Jansen Family Funeral Home in Columbiaville, Michigan where he resides today and serves local families with over 23 years in the funeral care business.  He has served as past president of the Columbiaville Rotary Club, Methodist Men, and is a member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church, Otisville Masonic Lodge Lodge #401, Friends of the Southern Links Trailway. 

Sonya Boone - Office Manager

A resident of Columbiaville, Michigan. Sonya has served as President of the Columbiaville Rotary Club as well as served on the Columbiaville Downtown Development Association. In addition to working for the funeral home, Sonya also owns and operates Sonya's Cakes where she delights customers with her creativity and artistry in custom cake design.

Matt Boone - Funeral Assistant

A 2011 graduate of Lakeville Community Schools. Matt has been working at the funeral home while attending Mott Community College where he is studying to be a chiropractor.

Charles & Janet Riley - Funeral Assistants

Residents of Columbiaville, Michigan. Charlie and his wife Janet are members of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. They both enjoy bowling, and volunteering at the Columbiaville United Methodist Church.

Donald Mayberry - Funeral Assistant

A lifelong resident of Columbiaville, Michigan. Don is a member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church; also a member of the Columbiaville Rotary Club and a veteran of the Michigan National Guard. Don and his wife Marge raised 5 children in the Lakeville School District.

James Chaffer - Funeral Assistant

A resident of Marathon Township, Michigan. Jim is currently serving as a Marathon Township Trustee. Jim also volunteers his time with the K.I.N.D. Program as well as the Southern Links Trailway. Jim is a member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church.

Ed & Sue Sanford - Funeral Assistants

Lifelong residents of Otter Lake, Ed & Susan Sanford raised 3 kids in the Lakeville School District - volunteering for the Band Boosters, Cub Scouts,
and Girl Scouts. Ed and Sue have also spent many summers managing the Otter Lake Campground. 

Ralph & Charlotte Secord - Funeral Assistants

Residents of Fostoria.  Ralph and his wife Charlotte are members
of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church, where they operate the food pantry once a month.  Ralph is also a member of the Columbiaville
Sportsman's Club.
